Position: Technical Lead – Android Mobile Applications (Medical Device)

Location: Valencia, CA or Santa Clara, CA (100% Onsite – Relocation Accepted)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Job Overview

We are seeking a Technical Lead – Android Mobile Applications to lead the development and integration of Android applications supporting connected medical device products. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for guiding a team of 4–5 engineers while driving architecture, development, and deployment of mobile applications in a regulated medical device environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Android mobile application development for connected medical device solutions.

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and oversight to a team of 4–5 software engineers.

Drive application architecture, code quality, scalability, testing, and maintainability.

Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment strategies.

Manage Google Play Store releases and application lifecycle management.

Collaborate with Regulatory, Quality, Compliance, and cross-functional engineering teams.

Monitor project delivery, team performance, and engineering metrics.

Remain hands-on with application design, development, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong hands-on experience in Android mobile application development .

4–5+ years of Medical Device industry experience .

Experience developing Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) application.

Strong understanding of IEC 62304 and medical device software development lifecycle.

Proven experience leading or mentoring software engineering teams.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
