About the role
You are seeking a Principal UX Designer, AVP to join the team as a senior UX Designer embedded within the UI framework engineering teams. The role involves providing design leadership to ensure high-quality user experiences across components and applications. You will be part of the Platform Engineering organization, which is transforming the platform by adopting next-generation cloud-based technology such as Microsoft Azure, AKS, and React. The UI Framework team plays a crucial role in this strategic modernization. Responsibilities: - Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and UX teams to drive design solutions. - Take ownership of evolving UI and design patterns in alignment with the platform design system. - Create and contribute to high-quality designs using tools like Figma. - Ensure accessibility, usability, and consistency across products. - Mentor engineers and designers on UI and UX best practices. - Advocate for AI adoption and optimize deliverables for AI. - Engage in agile software development processes following the CRD scrum methodology. - Collaborate with global teams on platform initiatives. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields. - 12+ years of professional experience in UI/UX or product design. - Proficiency in working with Figma and modern design systems. - Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams. - Knowledge of accessibility standards and UX best practices. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Experience in financial services is desired.
