As a Python Developer at State Street, you will be part of a high-visibility, cloud-native engineering team responsible for developing the next generation of Digital Compliance solutions. Your role will involve designing and delivering secure, scalable services and data pipelines for the AML Transaction Monitoring platform. You will work on end-to-end development cycles using modern Python APIs such as FastAPI and Django, utilize GraphQL for efficient data access, and leverage Databricks on the cloud for analytics and ETL processes. Key Responsibilities: - Develop backend services and APIs using Python and web frameworks like Django and FastAPI with a focus on scalability and performance. - Create ETL processes, Delta tables, and an Orchestration layer using Databricks notebooks. - Utilize cloud platforms, particularly Databricks, for data processing and analytics. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. - 3-9 years of Python development experience. - Proficiency in GraphQL and experience in building GraphQL APIs is a big plus. - Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS. - Experience working with PostgreSQL (AWS RDS) database is advantageous. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. - Prior knowledge of PySpark and Databricks is highly beneficial. - Knowledge in ETL, Agile methodology, and the Financial Domain will be advantageous.
