Mechanical Engineer

Job Description: Shift Mechanical Engineer Designation: Shift Engineer Mechanical Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Experience: 2-5 Years Industry Exposure: Boiler, Turbine, Captive Power Plant No. of Positions: 6 Location: 2 Positions - Vapi 2 Positions Sarigam (Near Vapi) 2 Positions- Panoli/Ankleshwar/Jhagadia Key Responsibilities: Optimize fuel consumption and improve overall plant efficiency. Reduce fuel, steam, water, and ash losses. Record and report daily shift-wise manpower to the supervisor. Ensure proper housekeeping of the plant area. Monitor the quality of boiler feed water. Conduct routine checks of mechanical equipment and report abnormalities. Follow preventive and breakdown maintenance practices. Ensure safety of manpower and report near-miss incidents. Share hourly steam distribution data with department management. Communicate with clients regarding steam flow and pressure-related issues. Monitor performance of boilers, turbines, pumps, valves, and other mechanical equipment. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime. Identify mechanical issues and coordinate with the maintenance team for quick resolution. Maintain proper documentation of maintenance work and equipment performance. Ensure compliance with plant safety and operational standards. People Management: Handle and supervise a team of 6-8 workmen. Coordinate maintenance activities with operations and other departments.
