About the role
We are looking for an AD L4 Embedded System Integration and Sub-System Architect to ensure the technical consistency, performance, and seamless integration of the AD L4 subsystem within the AV-ready platform.
The role combines system architecture, cross-functional coordination, and technical integration to align hardware, software, and vehicle-level requirements.
Within TECH Research, we explore and assess the feasibility of disruptive technologies, including AV-ready solutions for Level 4 autonomous driving and REAA/SACO scope focuses primarily on autonomy safe system design and advanced connectivity.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
System Architecture & Technical Definition
Define and maintain the functional, logical, and physical architecture of the AD L4 subsystem
Ensure HW/SW compatibility and integration within the global vehicle platform
Drive requirements allocation and traceability down to component level
Build and justify the system design and safety concepts (incl. ISO 26262 alignment)
Integration & Impact Analysis
Analyze the technical impact of introducing AD L4 subsystem on vehicle platform (HW, SW, E/E architecture)
Define and coordinate integration strategies (ECU, sensors, compute platforms)
Contribute to integration, validation, and verification plans
Transversal Leadership & Team Coordination
Operate in a cross-functional engineering team (system, HW, SW, safety, validation)
Coordinate contributors across multiple technical centers and domains
Act as operational leader ensuring alignment and efficiency of contributors
Drive technical arbitration and decision-making
Performance & Project Objectives Ownership
Ensure achievement of Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) targets
