Location: Miami, FL (Hybrid – must be onsite Day 1 if relocating)

Type: 6‑month contract‑to‑hire

Position Summary

We are seeking a Java Lead Services Engineer to provide both technical leadership (50%) and hands‑on development (50%) . This role will lead an engineering team in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise technology systems and applications, applying systematic and disciplined approaches to solve complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership to a team of engineers working toward shared technical goals.

Create and review technical design specifications .

Lead the design and development of Maven‑based Spring/Spring Boot applications (reactive programming a plus).

Architect and implement microservices solutions with event‑driven design patterns.

Work with relational databases and stored procedures (NoSQL experience a plus).

Utilize Kubernetes, containers, GitOps, and Jenkins for deployment and orchestration.

Balance leadership responsibilities with hands‑on coding and system design.

Required Skills

Strong experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and Maven .

Knowledge of microservices architecture and event‑driven design.

Experience with relational databases and stored procedure design.

Familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.

Hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes, containers, GitOps, and Jenkins .

Proven ability to lead engineering teams while contributing as a developer.
