About the role
Senior Azure AI Platform Engineer
Location: Schiller Park, IL 60176 or Dallas, TX (Onsite 3 days per week)
Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Overview
We are seeking Senior Azure AI Platform Engineers to design and implement AI-powered automation, intelligent workflows, and scalable cloud-native solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support a rapidly growing global business. This role requires engineers who have successfully delivered real-world AI and automation solutions with measurable business impact.
The company is migrating its internally built ERP platform (“Navigate”) from a legacy on-prem .NET/SQL monolith to a modern Azure-based microservices and microfrontend architecture .
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement AI-driven automation solutions within Azure environments.
Modernize workflows and automate business operations by translating business pain points into intelligent solutions.
Partner with business and technology teams to identify inefficiencies and recommend AI-enabled improvements.
Develop scalable AI workflows, integrations, and automation pipelines.
Support cloud migration from legacy .NET/SQL systems to Azure microservices.
Required Skills
Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure ecosystems (Cosmos DB, Data Lakes, Azure AI/ML).
Experience with Azure cloud migration and legacy modernization (.NET, SQL Server).
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, microfrontends, Docker, CI/CD (Octopus), GitHub Copilot .
Proven track record implementing AI, automation, or GenAI solutions in enterprise environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver practical, business-focused solutions.
