About the role
Job Title: SAP ABAP Consultant Location: Nellore / Singhitarai / Mansa(WFO) Experience: 5-8 Years Key Responsibilities Technical Design Development: Analyze functional specifications and design, develop, test, and debug complex ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW objects). SAP S/4HANA Expertise: Develop and adapt code for SAP S/4HANA, utilizing Core Data Services (CDS) views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and OData services. Understand and adhere to the code restrictions and best practices for SAP HANA. Interface Integration: Design and build efficient and stable interfaces using RFC, BAPI, IDocs, ALE, and Web Services (SOAP/REST). Experience with SAP PI/PO or CPI is a strong plus. Enhancement Modification: Utilize appropriate enhancement techniques (User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Spots) and modification strategies (SPDD/SPAU) to customize SAP standard functionality to meet business needs. Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize the performance of existing and new ABAP code for SAP HANA, including code pushdown techniques and effective use of OpenSQL. Forms Output Management: Develop and maintain print forms using SAP Script, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms (Adobe Interactive Forms or Adobe LiveCycle Designer). Workflow (Optional but valued): Develop and maintain SAP workflow rules and processes to automate business tasks. Collaboration: Work closely with SAP Functional Consultants (MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, etc.) to understand business processes and provide optimal technical solutions. Documentation Standards: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation. Adhere to internal coding standards, best practices, and change management procedures. Support Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Required Qualifications Skills Experience: 4-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development. Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Technical Proficiency: Core ABAP: Mastery of Object-Oriented ABAP (OOPS), ALV reporting, Dialog Programming (Module Pools), and Data Dictionary. RICEFW: Proven experience in developing the full spectrum of RICEFW objects. Interfaces: Strong experience with RFC, BAPI, IDoc, and ALE configuration and programming. Enhancements: Expert knowledge of User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancement Framework. Forms: Solid experience with at least two of the following: SAPscript, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms. S/4HANA Readiness: Hands-on development experience with CDS Views, AMDP, and OData Services is mandatory. Performance: Strong understanding of ABAP performance analysis and tuning tools (e.g., SAT, ST12). Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have) Experience with one full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration project. Knowledge of SAP Fiori development principles and UI5. Experience with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and ABAP Steampunk (ABAP in the Cloud).
