Senior Software Tester

Role Overview: As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated software verification activities within a software development cycle. You will be expected to work with limited supervision and author test protocols to cover software requirements. Your primary tasks will include performing software verification executions, debugging, and resolving issues. It is important to produce complete, concise, clear, and technically correct work outputs. Additionally, you will create and track software defect records in the defect tracking database and report passed and failed requirements to the test team lead or program management. You will utilize software languages such as C/C++, Python, and Squish for software test development with limited supervision and independently use requirements management systems like JAMA. Moreover, driving initiatives to improve product testing and design assurance processes will be a key part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain integrated software verification activities within a software development cycle - Author test protocols to cover software requirements - Perform software verification executions, debug, and resolve issues - Produce complete, concise, clear, and technically correct work outputs - Create and track software defect records in the defect tracking database - Report passed and failed requirements to the test team lead or program management - Utilize software languages such as C/C++, Python, and Squish for software test development - Drive initiatives to improve product testing and design assurance processes - Support test reviews of various deliverables - Independently handle end-to-end feature testing and overall system testing Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in software, computer science, or related discipline - 4-8 years of product testing in a product development environment or equivalent - Basic knowhow of technology stack: C, C++, Linux, Application testing - ISTQB and standard Agile certifications like CSM, SaFe Agile - Advanced knowledge of software verification activities integrated within a software development cycle - Experience with designing and implementing automated testing scripts - Advanced knowledge of software configuration/version control and bug tracking tools - Experience with software test equipment and test methodologies - Experience in a medical device or regulated product development environment - Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle processes and using Application Lifecycle Management/Traceability tools - Experience with regulatory and compliance standards applied to the SDLC - Knowledge of automation/programming frameworks like Python, Squish, etc Note: This job offers a hybrid work flexibility with a 10% travel percentage.
