About the role
As a senior Architect - DevSecOps at the leading online fashion and lifestyle destination in the GCC region, your role will involve owning the end-to-end architecture for the platform on GCP. This includes defining SLOs, embedding security into the SDLC, and ensuring scalability and security during flash sales, regional expansion, and traffic peaks. You will be hands-on in writing Terraform and debugging production issues. Role Overview: - Lead architecture design and evolution across reliability engineering, platform/DevOps, and security. - Own a large-scale, multi-region GCP architecture and define SLOs and reliability practices. - Partner with product engineering leaders to ensure reliable and secure scaling during peak traffic. Key Responsibilities: - Design and operate multi-region GCP landing zones using Shared VPC, Private Service Connect, and Hierarchical Firewall Policies. - Architect high-traffic e-commerce services using GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud CDN, and more. - Lead capacity planning, load testing, and application security strategies. - Build internal developer platforms and automation culture to ensure reproducibility across environments. Qualifications Required: - 8-12 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, and DevSecOps. - Strong scripting/automation skills in Python and/or Go. - Experience in architecting and running e-commerce or high-traffic services. - Knowledge of Kubernetes operations, Terraform, and cloud security best practices. - Familiarity with data platforms like Kafka, Spark, Airflow, or BigQuery. - Certifications in Google Cloud, Kubernetes, or security domains would be a plus.
