Firewall Engineer (Fortinet / Check Point / Palo Alto)

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Firewall Engineer to design, implement, manage, and support enterprise network security infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Fortinet, Check Point, and/or Palo Alto firewalls, along with a strong understanding of network security, VPN technologies, and security best practices. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Fortinet, Check Point, and Palo Alto firewall solutions.Configure and manage firewall policies, NAT, routing, security zones, and VPNs (Site-to-Site & Remote Access).Monitor firewall performance, logs, and security events to ensure network availability and security.Perform firewall rule reviews, policy optimization, and periodic audits.Troubleshoot network connectivity, security incidents, and firewall-related issues.Implement High Availability (HA) and disaster recovery solutions.Conduct firmware upgrades, patch management, and configuration backups.Collaborate with network, server, cloud, and security teams to implement secure network architectures.Analyze security alerts and respond to incidents in coordination with the Security Operations Center (SOC).Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards.Prepare technical documentation, network diagrams, SOPs, and change management records.Provide technical support during maintenance windows and participate in on-call rotations when required.Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with:Fortinet FortiGate FirewallsCheck Point FirewallsPalo Alto Networks FirewallsExcellent understanding of:TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANsVPN (IPSec & SSL VPN)NAT, ACLs, Security PoliciesHigh Availability (HA)Intrusion Prevention System (IPS)Web Filtering and Application ControlThreat Prevention and URL FilteringExperience with firewall migration and policy optimization.Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.Familiarity with SIEM platforms and log analysis is an added advantage.Basic understanding of cloud security (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud) is preferred.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.38+ years of experience in Network Security or Firewall Administration.Preferred Certifications Fortinet NSE 4 / NSE 5 / NSE 7 (or equivalent current Fortinet certifications)Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA)Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE)Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA)Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)CCNA / CCNP Security (Preferred)Preferred Experience Enterprise firewall deployment and administration.Firewall migration projects.Multi-vendor network security environments.Data center and cloud network security.Change management and ITIL-based support environments.Soft Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and documentation abilities.Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.Willingness to work in a 247 support environment when required.Employment Type Full-TimeExperience 38+ YearsLocation As per company requirement / Hybrid / On-sitePay: 35,000.00 - 40,000.00 per month Work Location: In person .
