IT Product Head

Description: Role Purpose: Build and manage custom internal tools around the companys core business processes and unique operating needs creating systems that standard ERP software cannot solve and building long-term business IP. What You'll Do: Core Business Tool Development: - Own development of custom tools for WMS, CrystalPulse, cold chain monitoring, warehouse controls, asset tracking, and other operational systems where standard software is insufficient - Translate operational requirements into working tools from scoping and design through build, testing, and deployment - Work directly with site teams, operations, and functional heads to identify gaps where custom tools add the most value Business Logic, Automation & System Ownership: - Translate business workflows into practical tools Google Sheets, AppSheet, Apps Script, dashboards, and custom web systems - Drive automation, approvals, reporting, alerts, and operational visibility across critical functions reducing manual effort and decision lag - Own the full lifecycle of every internal tool requirements, build, deployment, iteration, and ongoing improvement Product Stability, Documentation & IP Building: - Ensure strong documentation, code ownership, and system continuity across all internally built tools no single point of failure - Drive user adoption and maintain operational stability tools that dont get used or break under load are not done - Build long-term technology capability and business IP creating systems the company owns, controls, and can scale Requirements: - 8 - 12 years in product development or internal tools with direct ownership of building and shipping systems used in operations - Strong hands-on capability across Google Sheets, AppSheet, Apps Script, and custom web development not just management - Has built operational tools in logistics, warehousing, or similarly ops-heavy environments understands ground-level workflows - Comfortable with ambiguity can take a business problem with no brief and return a working tool - Has owned the full product lifecycle scoping, build, deployment, adoption, and iteration without a large team underneath Description: Role Purpose: Build and manage custom internal tools around the companys core business processes and unique operating needs creating systems that standard ERP software cannot solve and building long-term business IP.
