Database Administrator L2

You will be responsible for the following tasks as a DBA and Operation Management Specialist in MS SQL Enterprise Server: - Support the installation of database software and migrations to new data management system software levels, and test the migrations to ensure data reliability and functionality. - Analyze, design, modify, and maintain database structures. - Design and implement procedures necessary to save, retrieve, and recover databases from hardware and software failures. - Establish and implement database security controls and user access levels. - Evaluate and recommend database software packages for potential acquisition. - Prepare and develop database documentation, procedures, and definitions for data dictionaries. - Perform logical and physical data modeling, design relational database models, and create physical data models from logical data models. - Perform database performance monitoring and implement efficiency improvements. - Assist in modifying existing databases and database management systems. - Assist in developing standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures designed to ensure the integrity of the database environment. Qualifications and Skill Set: - A formal degree is not required; candidates may be degree-holders or self-taught. - Strong reading, writing, and communication skills are required. - Minimum 3 years of working experience in DBA and operation management in MS SQL Enterprise Server. - Degree, preferably IT or Engineering-related. - Experience in setting up and supporting database mirroring, failover clustering would be advantageous. - Relevant working experience as an MYSQL/ MARIA DB / MS SQL Database Administrator in a production environment would be preferred.
