Packaging Engineering Team Leader

As a Mechanical Engineer at Sulzer, you will be responsible for researching, planning, designing, and developing mechanical products and systems, including instruments, controls, engines, and machines used in energy production, transmission, and measurement. This role is suitable for early-career professionals who apply broad theoretical knowledge and possess the ability to investigate and analyze problems. You will report to Team Leader ORE. Key Responsibilities: - Manage assigned mechanical design projects from Sales order review stage to handover to production. - Take responsibility for order-related design, processing, and supporting activities for the assigned product range. - Review customer project design specifications and communicate with Sales/Tendering team to transform customer requirements into product through order-related engineering. - Prepare customer-facing documents such as Pump Cross Section drawings, Pump General Arrangement drawings, P&ID drawings, Wiring diagram, etc., in 2D or 3D. - Review and approve buyout component drawings and documents related to Motor, Coupling, Mechanical Seal & Systems, ARC Valves, Gearbox, VFD, Turbine, etc. - Prepare, check, and release the Bill Of Material (BOM) in SAP ERP. - Support and coordinate with different teams of Operations, Purchase, Sales, Quality & Testing during the complete cycle of the order execution. - Provide engineering support to pump site commissioning team until successful operation of the equipment supplied. Qualification, Experience And Knowledge Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed institute. - 4-8 years of experience in Centrifugal Pump design field & API standards. - Hands-on experience with AutoCAD design software. Experience in Inventor, NX & Teamcenter will be an added advantage. - Conversant with the use of the SAP ERP tool.
