About the role
Role Summary Owns the operational backbone: monitoring and alerting, backup and disaster recovery execution, patching, server administration, and the ITSM practices that make the infrastructure function auditable and predictable. Provides follow-the-sun operational coverage and is first line of response during India hours. Key Responsibilities - Operate the monitoring stack across network, server, cloud, and endpoint estates; tune alerting to reduce noise - Provide first-response triage during India business hours; execute runbooks and escalate per severity matrix - Maintain the on-call schedule, incident log, and post-incident documentation - Execute and verify backup jobs across server and cloud workloads; remediate failures within SLA - Run scheduled DR tests and document restore validation evidence - Operate monthly patch cycles for servers and infrastructure appliances with change-controlled maintenance windows - Administer the ticketing and change management workflow; enforce SLAs, produce monthly operational reporting for US leadership - Build and maintain the runbook library, asset inventory, and configuration documentation - Support evidence collection for client security assessments and internal audits Required Qualifications - 36 years in infrastructure operations, NOC, or managed services roles - Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring tooling and incident management - Working knowledge of Windows Server administration, backup platforms, and patching at scale - Experience operating within ITIL-based change and incident processes - Robust documentation discipline and written English Preferred Qualifications - Azure or M365 administration exposure - Scripting for operational automation (PowerShell or Python) - BPO or 24x7 operations center background Location: India - Brick & Mortar Facility (Bengaluru, Hyderabad, or Pune) Engagement: Contract to Hire | 12-Month Initial Contract Level: Mid-Level (36 years experience) Reports To: US-based CTO / Infrastructure Lead Note: Second opening at leadership discretion based on workload. .
