Design Engineer / Sr Design Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities Design and develop automotive exterior and interior lighting components including headlamps, tail lamps, signal lamps, DRLs, and fog lamps. Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA, ensuring accurate GD&T application. Manage packaging and integration of lighting components within the lamp assembly and vehicle interface, considering manufacturing and assembly constraints. Support and participate in testing and validation activities to meet performance, safety, ECE regulations, and internal quality standards. Coordinate with customers and suppliers to evaluate requirements, recommend technical solutions, and support cost and schedule discussions. Manage engineering activities in line with project timelines and development milestones. Identify value engineering opportunities for cost reduction and weight optimization. Lead and coordinate design activities as per customer requirements. Handle day-to-day engineering issues and participate in meetings with project managers, engineers, and customers. Provide technical guidance and mentoring support to junior engineers. Stay updated on advancements in automotive lighting technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
