About the role
Role & responsibilities Design & Modeling: Create detailed 2D/3D parts, assemblies, and complete mechanical systems using CAD software. [1, 2] Analysis & Simulation: Apply principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics to test and validate the structural and thermal performance of prototypes. [1, 2] Manufacturing & Production: Specify materials, tolerances, and fabrication processes; oversee prototype development and ensure production readiness. [1, 2] Documentation & Compliance: Estimate project timelines and budgets, and draft technical manuals, specifications, and BOMs (Bills of Materials). [1, 2] Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with electrical engineers, software developers, and machine operators to troubleshoot issues and optimize design.
