Role Overview: As a Senior BI & Data Analyst at Sutherland, you will play a crucial role in driving insight and innovation within the Enterprise Data and Analytics team. Your primary responsibility will be to transform complex scientific and operational data into actionable intelligence. By leading the development of analytical solutions, you will uncover performance trends, illuminate critical KPIs, and support strategic decision-making across the business. Key Responsibilities: - Analyzing complex scientific datasets to uncover meaningful insights and support strategic initiatives. - Mapping key business process rules to ensure data solutions align with operational realities. - Creating insight-driven solutions that provide visibility into critical KPIs and performance metrics. - Conducting deep-dive analyses to solve challenging problems and offer evidence-based recommendations. - Engaging with Business Stakeholders at all levels to identify requirements and conduct User Acceptance Testing for new data, products, and analytics solutions. - Developing business flow diagrams and data flow diagrams to support system design and optimization. - Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams to ensure successful alignment and delivery. - Performing data profiling, mining, and validation/testing to ensure data quality and usability. - Presenting ad-hoc analysis results in a clear and user-friendly manner. - Building strong business relationships to foster collaboration and partnership. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or related field. - Master's in Business Administration/ Information Systems/ Computer Science is an added advantage. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. - Ability to translate requirements into well-written user stories for effective communication between business and technology. - Strong business mindset and collaborative skills to identify data management needs and opportunities. - Self-driven with the ability to work independently or within a team. - Experience in the life science or Biotechnology industry is a plus. Technical Expertise Required: - Minimum 5 years of experience in writing complex SQL queries, data mining, and validation/testing. - Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst / Data Analyst in Data & Analytics. - Experience with User Acceptance Testing cycles and training with stakeholders. - Proficiency in Data Visualization Tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy. - Familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodology.
