About the role
: Paint Technologist / Coating Engineer / Paint Production Executive Department: Paint Shop / Quality / R&D; / Production / Surface Coating Key Responsibilities: - Develop and monitor paint and coating processes for industrial products. - Ensure proper paint application, coating thickness, adhesion, and finish quality. - Handle powder coating, liquid painting, pre-treatment, and surface preparation processes. - Monitor paint consumption, wastage, and process efficiency. - Conduct quality checks such as: - DFT (Dry Film Thickness) - Adhesion test - Gloss test - Salt spray test - Troubleshoot painting defects like peeling, orange peel, blistering, pinholes, and shade variation. - Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams for smooth operations. - Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and pollution control standards. - Maintain records of paint batches, process parameters, and inspection reports. - Support current product development and paint trials. - Manage vendor communication for paints, chemicals, and coating materials. Skills Required: - Knowledge of industrial paints, coatings, and chemicals. - Understanding of powder coating and liquid painting systems. - Knowledge of surface treatment and corrosion protection. - Familiarity with testing instruments and quality standards. - Problem-solving and process improvement skills. - Basic knowledge of ISO, 5S, and safety standards. Educational Qualification: - Bachelor of Paint Technology / B.Tech in Paint Technology / Coating Technology. Experience: - Fresher to experienced candidates. .
