About the role
Role Purpose To lead engineering-driven procurement and value engineering initiatives, ensuring optimized product cost, regulatory compliance, and robust technical integration for renewable energy systems (solar/BESS/inverter ecosystems). Key Responsibilitie s1. Engineering & Customizatio nDrive customer-specific engineering modifications, including preparation of Engineering Change Notes (ECNs).Develop custom configurations aligned with project and client requirements.2. Procurement & Value Engineerin gCollaborate with sourcing teams for technical procurement decisions.Lead BoM cost optimization initiatives, including design-to-cost strategies.Qualify alternate components/suppliers ensuring cost, quality, and reliability balance.3. Certification & Complianc eManage certifications including UL, IEC, BIS, MNRE approvals.Coordinate with testing agencies for product validation and compliance.Ensure adherence to CEA, CERC, and state DISCOM regulatory standards.4. Electrical Engineering & Integratio nReview and develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and electrical layouts.Ensure robust protection schemes and AC-side system integration.Support project teams in techno-commercial evaluations.5. Communication & Digital Integratio nDefine and validate SCADA and RTU communication architecture.Ensure protocol alignment including Modbus/TCP and plant-level integration.6. Simulation & Performance Engineerin gPerform energy yield analysis and performance modelling.Analyze degradation curves and lifecycle performance.Support dispatch optimization and system efficiency improvements .
