As a Lead Engineer in Embedded Systems at Svaya Robotics in Hyderabad, you will be responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of embedded firmware to empower robots with safety, intelligence, and reliability. You will collaborate closely with a diverse team of hardware and software engineers to translate research and ideas into the robot technology platform. Your role will involve supporting the implementation of real-time control software, advanced perception and learning, safety mechanisms, sensor fusion, teleoperation, logging, and analytics infrastructure to create intelligent and intuitive robots. Key Responsibilities: - Develop embedded firmware for robot controls, safety systems, sensor integration, and automation stack. - Iterate embedded system concepts rapidly and realize them from lab to real world with utmost reliability. - Participate in design reviews and provide guidance for robust and reliable embedded hardware and firmware engineering. - Assist in high-level analysis, design, test procedures, and code reviews. Qualifications Required: - Solid experience in embedded C/C++. - 5+ years of experience in core embedded systems development. - Good experience in embedded Linux at the kernel level. - Understanding of real-time embedded system paradigms such as concurrency, real-time deadlines, mutual exclusion, race conditions, and synchronization issues. - High-level architecture and low-level software design, coding, and test experience. - Experience in micro-controllers/micro-processor firmware programming. - Experience with communication interfaces like Ethernet, EtherCAT, CAN, RS-232, 422, 485, I2C, SPI, UART, etc. - Strong hardware and software debugging skills (JTAG). - Experience working in a collaborative software team, applying agile development practices and software engineering tools. - Willingness to explore new technologies and unfamiliar concepts.
