About the role
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and security of software applications through comprehensive testing strategies. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products and enhance the overall user experience. Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and testing methodologies across various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product stakeholders to understand business requirements and define effective testing approaches. - Design, create, and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts for functional, integration, regression, and system testing. - Perform both manual and automated testing to identify software defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues. - Identify, document, track, and validate defects using defect management and issue-tracking tools. - Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of defects and validate fixes. - Develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks, scripts, and tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage. - Conduct performance, load, scalability, and stress testing to evaluate application stability and responsiveness. - Analyze performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvements. - Collaborate with security teams to perform security testing, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing activities. - Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning. - Communicate testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and overall product quality status to stakeholders. - Mentor and guide junior QA engineers on testing best practices, methodologies, and quality standards. Required Skills & Qualifications - Proven experience as a QA Engineer with hands-on experience in test planning, test case design, and test execution. - Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, testing types, and QA best practices. - Experience with both manual and automated testing tools and frameworks. - Robust knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management processes. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#. - Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools. - Knowledge of performance testing and security testing methodologies. - ISTQB, CSTE, or other relevant QA certifications are highly desirable. Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
