Job Title: Lead Power BI Developer Experience: 8+ Years Employment Type: Contract (6 Months to 1 Year Extendable) Work Mode: Hybrid Location: Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer with strong expertise in Power BI, Python, and SQL to design, develop, and maintain enterprise Business Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building interactive dashboards, developing robust data models, automating data processing using Python, and writing optimized SQL queries to deliver actionable business insights. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service . Develop scalable data models and create complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs . Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using Power Query (M Language) . Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions for reporting and data validation. Develop Python scripts for data processing, automation, cleansing, and advanced analytics. Integrate Power BI with SQL Server and other enterprise data sources. Optimize Power BI reports and datasets for performance, scalability, and usability. Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage scheduled dataset refreshes. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver analytical solutions. Troubleshoot reporting issues, resolve data discrepancies, and ensure data accuracy. Prepare technical documentation and provide production support when required. Follow coding standards, best practices, and Agile development methodologies. Required Skills 8+ years of IT experience with strong expertise in Power BI Development . Hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service . Strong knowledge of DAX , Power Query (M Language) , and Data Modeling . Expertise in SQL Server , T-SQL , query optimization, stored procedures, views, and functions. Strong programming experience in Python (Pandas, NumPy, data manipulation, and automation). Good understanding of ETL concepts , data warehousing, and reporting solutions. Experience connecting Power BI with multiple enterprise data sources. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Services . Knowledge of Snowflake , Azure SQL , or Databricks . Experience with Git , Azure DevOps , or CI/CD practices. Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
