Job Summary Synechron seeks a seasoned Finacle Product Engineer to lead the design, customization, integration, and ongoing support of Finacle-based banking solutions. This role combines deep subject-matter expertise in Finacle 11X core banking with hands-on testing and integration capabilities. The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, QA, and IT to deliver robust, scalable, and compliant solutions across CMS, core banking, and payments modules, driving modernization and operational excellence within a regulated environment.

Software Requirements

Required Skills (Essential) Strong hands-on experience with Finacle core banking solutions, preferably on Finacle 11X

In-depth exposure to Finacle modules such as CMS, FAS, LMS, TRAMS, ITS, and related components

Experience with Finacle scripting and log validation techniques

Proficiency in designing, configuring, and integrating REST APIs and Finacle interfaces

Working knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle, with related validation and data manipulation skills)

Experience participating in business discussions, creating BRDs/IA/Gap analyses, and providing architectural input

Proficiency with SDLC/Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration

Strong communication and documentation skills for stakeholder reporting and compliance artifacts

Preferred Skills Finacle certification from Infosys or equivalent credentials

Experience with Finacle upgrades, migrations, or enhancements

Exposure to testing automation and CI/CD processes within Finacle environments

Banking/regulatory awareness and data security considerations

Familiarity with other core banking integrations (e.g., RIS, OMS, HCS) as related to CMS modules

Overall Responsibilities Lead the customization, integration, and ongoing support of Finacle-based solutions across multiple business units

Define and validate technical requirements, solution designs, and implementation plans

Mentor and guide team members to achieve technical excellence and consistent quality

Review architectural documents, BRDs, IA/Gap analyses, Fit/Gap analyses, and project plans

Collaborate with product management to prioritize enhancements and roadmap items

Oversee testing strategies, data quality, and security controls within Finacle projects

Manage deployment activities, patching, and release governance in collaboration with stakeholders

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures

Monitor progress against plans, escalate risks, and drive timely issue resolution

Ensure modifications are engineered, tested, and packaged for client installation or handover

Foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across teams

Technical Skills (By Category)

Programming Languages (Essential & Preferred) Essential: Finacle scripting concepts; SQL

Preferred: Java, Python, or other scripting languages for automation and integration

Databases/Data Management Essential: Oracle (SQL, data validation, data manipulation)

Preferred: NoSQL, data warehousing concepts, data lineage

Cloud Technologies Essential: Knowledge of cloud deployment considerations in banking contexts

Preferred: Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms and hybrid integration patterns

Frameworks and Libraries Essential: Finacle interfaces, APIs, and integration patterns

Preferred: Modern enterprise integration frameworks, API gateways, messaging adapters

Development Tools and Methodologies Essential: Jira/Confluence, Agile/Scrum practices

Preferred: CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), test automation, release governance

Security Protocols Essential: Data privacy, secure coding practices, and audit/compliance readiness

Preferred: Banking security standards, encryption concepts, PCI-DSS awareness

Experience Requirements 6–10 years of experience in Finacle-related development, testing, or implementation

Proven ability to deliver Finacle-based projects with cross-functional teams

Experience in regulated banking environments and governance considerations

Alternative pathways: extensive Finacle CMS customization/implementation experience or relevant certifications

Day-to-Day Activities Engage with stakeholders to capture business and technical requirements for Finacle projects

Design and implement Finacle customizations, interfaces, and CMS enhancements

Collaborate with QA, product, and operations teams to ensure testability and deployment readiness

Review and contribute to architecture documents, BRDs, and test plans

Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes

Maintain test data, runbooks, and deployment procedures

Mentor junior teammates and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Finacle experience in CMS and core banking modules is essential

  • Certifications in Finacle, banking technology, or related disciplines are advantageous

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in banking technology and Finacle updates
