About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a multi-disciplinary digital transformation team, based on-site at our Kochi plant. Digital Transformation program spans hardware integrations, SAP integration, a custom application, Data analytics, AI & ML programs, and computer vision applications. The successful candidate will own end-to-end requirement definition, translate business needs into user stories and test cases, closely manage outsourced development partners, validate solutions as they are built, and lead implementation and end-user training. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Engage stakeholders across Operations, Production, Planning, IT, Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics to elicit and document detailed business and functional requirements covering hardware integration, SAP integration, the custom application, analytics, and computer vision components. Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), process flow diagrams, and use case documentation. Translate requirements into well-structured user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria for Agile/Scrum- based delivery. Develop detailed test cases and test scenarios covering functional, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Act as the primary liaison with the outsourced development partner track progress against the project plan/sprint backlog, clarify requirement queries, and proactively flag risks, gaps, or delays. Review and validate developed features/modules against requirements and acceptance criteria as they are delivered; plan and conduct UAT cycles with business users. Take ownership of implementation activities, including cutover planning, coordination of data migration, and post go-live stabilization support. Prepare training material and SOPs, and lead end-user training ahead of go-live. Coordinate cross-functionally with the SAP team, hardware/OT vendors, analytics team, and computer vision solution provider to ensure aligned delivery. Maintain and circulate RAID logs, status reports, and progress dashboards for leadership and steering committee reviews. Travel locally within Kochi as needed for requirement validation, floor walks, and on-site UAT support. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst on IT/digital transformation programs, with at least part of that experience in a senior or lead BA capacity. Demonstrated experience on projects involving SAP-integrated systems (functional exposure to modules such as MM, PP, WM, or QM is a plus). Experience with system integration projects involving hardware, IoT devices, sensors, or shop-floor systems. Exposure to analytics/BI platforms and to AI/ML or computer vision-based solutions is desirable. 1 | P a g e Strong command of requirement elicitation techniques, BRD/FRD authoring, and Agile artifacts (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria). Hands-on experience managing projects on tools like Azure DevOps, Atlassian Jira. Hands-on experience preparing test plans/test cases and coordinating UAT with business users. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work confidently across internal teams, leadership, and outsourced partners. Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, and presentation skills. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA is an advantage. Relevant certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSPO, or CSM is preferred. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience working within a manufacturing plant or logistics/supply chain environment. Familiarity with MES, SCADA, or other shop-floor automation systems. Prior experience in an on-site, plant-based BA or delivery role. ENGAGEMENT DETAILS Location: On-site at the Kochi plant; not a remote or hybrid role. Reporting to: Head – Manufacturing Digitalisation & Automation. Travel: Site visits to plants as required. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Requirements are captured accurately and completely, with minimal rework or scope surprises during development. The outsourced partner has clear, unambiguous user stories and acceptance criteria, reducing back-and-forth clarification cycles. Each delivered module is validated against requirements before sign-off, with issues caught during UAT rather than post go-live.
