Penetration Test Engineer - VAPT

In this role as a Penetration Test Engineer at Sysmind Tech, your primary responsibility will be to conduct comprehensive security assessments of clients' systems and networks. You will collaborate with various teams to identify vulnerabilities, recommend remediation strategies, and enhance overall security posture. Your efforts will play a crucial role in protecting clients' digital assets and ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on web applications, mobile applications, networks, and cloud environments to uncover security weaknesses. - Create and implement detailed test plans and methodologies based on industry standards and client specifications for comprehensive assessment coverage. - Analyze test results, document findings, and offer actionable recommendations to clients for addressing identified vulnerabilities and strengthening their security stance. - Work closely with development and IT teams to validate remediation actions and confirm effective resolution of vulnerabilities to mitigate risks. - Keep abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack methodologies to refine testing approaches and maintain expertise. - Contribute to the formulation of security policies, procedures, and standards to bolster the overall security program. - Conduct security code reviews to pinpoint potential vulnerabilities in software applications. - Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior penetration testers to support their professional development. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in conducting penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across diverse systems like web applications, mobile applications, networks, and cloud environments. - Demonstrated expertise in utilizing penetration testing tools and frameworks such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, and OWASP ZAP. - Strong grasp of security principles, common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25), and attack techniques. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to security testing and vulnerability analysis effectively. - Deep understanding of cloud security concepts and practices, including experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Sound knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies. - Excellent communication skills to convey technical findings to diverse audiences. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. - Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
