As a System Administrator I, you will be responsible for providing Level 1 support for Linux-based systems and servers. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring system performance, handling basic system administration tasks such as user management and service restarts, responding to tickets, and documenting incidents and resolutions clearly. You will also work closely with internal teams to maintain uptime and service levels, ensuring adherence to SLAs and participating in shift rotations if required. Key Responsibilities: - Provide Level 1 support for Linux-based systems and servers. - Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation. - Handle basic system administration tasks like user management, permission handling, service restarts, and log monitoring. - Respond to tickets, troubleshoot issues, and escalate unresolved problems to L2/L3 teams. - Document incidents, resolutions, and standard procedures clearly. - Work closely with internal teams to maintain uptime and service levels. - Ensure adherence to SLAs and participate in shift rotations if required. Qualifications Required: - 2+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration or as a Linux Technical Support Analyst. - Strong command-line knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu). - Familiarity with basic networking and system tools (e.g., SSH, top, netstat, systemctl). - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good to Have: - Knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira). - Basic scripting (Bash, Python) for automating routine tasks. - Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
