Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing and developing TCF tooling and SPM systems for automotive assembly applications. Your role will involve creating accurate 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs using industry standards. Additionally, you will be conducting feasibility studies, pre-investigations, and integration analysis for vehicle models and manufacturing systems. Key Responsibilities: - Independently design and develop TCF tooling and SPM systems for automotive assembly applications. - Create accurate 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using industry standards. - Apply GD&T, fitment, and tolerance principles effectively in mechanical designs. - Design and validate lifting devices, robotic grippers, pallet lines, skillets, hangers, bumpers, and pre-assembly fixtures. - Conduct feasibility studies, pre-investigations, and integration analysis for vehicle models and manufacturing systems. - Interpret shop floor layouts and recommend process optimization strategies. - Work with 3D printed components, including material selection and application suitability. - Develop linkage mechanisms and apply assembly constraints efficiently. - Select standard components and coordinate with global suppliers for procurement support. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, automation, and design engineering. Qualification Required: - 36 years of experience in automotive or heavy engineering industries. - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly tooling systems. - Hands-on experience with automation systems and robotic integration. - Proficiency in CATIA V5, Teamcenter, AutoCAD, and Teamcenter Vis Mockup (preferred). - Knowledge of Volvo ME standards will be an added advantage. - Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, material properties, tooling standards, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. - Excellent English communication skills.
