ICT Senior Network Engineer

As a member of the Level 2 Network Engineering team, you play a crucial role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of the network infrastructure. Your focus lies in designing and enhancing network infrastructure to maintain smooth system operations. You will be involved in creating engineering solutions for operational challenges, optimizing existing systems, automating tasks, and ensuring network operations are safe and efficient. Key Responsibilities: - Develop network architecture for a multi-tenant enterprise environment - Manage the lifecycle of architecture, from inception to implementation and supportability - Build reusable designs promoting scale, reliability, security, and efficiency - Maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol datacenter and backbone networks - Define and develop network monitoring systems - Troubleshoot and resolve network issues - Participate in a regular on-call rotation - Provide technical guidance to correct network-related issues - Manage the needs of multiple customers and prioritize workload - Write technical procedural documentation - Handle higher volumes of tickets and multitask effectively - Interface with employees internally and within client businesses Qualifications Required: - BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field - 5+ years of experience in service provider or enterprise-level network engineering - Deep understanding of network protocols like IP, BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF - Proficiency in network hardware internals and application protocols - Experience with network automation tools (Python, Perl, C++, Bash, etc.) - Familiarity with authentication mechanisms and network hardware/software - Strong written and verbal communication skills - CCNP certification required, JNCIA/JNCIS certification preferred The ideal candidate for this role is highly autonomous, possesses effective communication skills, demonstrates a strong sense of ownership, adapts quickly to new technologies, and shows high potential for career growth.
