HVAC Draughtsman

As an HVAC Junior Draughtsman, your role will involve assisting in the preparation of HVAC design and shop drawings by working closely with HVAC engineers and the MEP team. Your responsibilities will include: - Prepare HVAC layout drawings using AutoCAD or Revit MEP, including ductwork, piping, equipment locations, and schematic diagrams. - Assist in developing detailed shop drawings based on design inputs and site requirements. - Update and revise drawings according to engineering markups and coordination feedback. - Ensure compliance of drawings with project specifications, industry standards, and local codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.). - Coordinate with architectural, structural, plumbing, and electrical drawings to avoid service clashes. - Maintain drawing logs and ensure proper file organization. - Assist in preparing as-built drawings and documentation during project close-out. - Support quantity take-offs and basic calculations if required. Qualifications required for this role: - ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Draftsmanship with HVAC specialization preferred. - 2-4 years of experience in HVAC or MEP drafting. - Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of Revit MEP is an added advantage. - Basic understanding of HVAC systems such as chilled water, VRF, DX, ventilation, and ducting. - Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. - Good attention to detail and time management. In addition to the above, you may also be preferred if you have familiarity with BIM workflows and clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks), understanding of HVAC design principles and site installation practices, or have undergone an internship or have exposure to MEP or HVAC projects.
