SDE2 / SDE 3 - Python

Role Overview: As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing scalable and loosely coupled services to extend the platform. Your key responsibilities will include building bulletproof API integrations with third-party APIs, evolving the infrastructure to enhance overall availability, and having full autonomy to own your code. You will also be expected to contribute to the open-source community through code contributions and blog posts. Since this is a startup, you should be prepared for changes as the company experiments with product improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Build scalable and loosely coupled services for platform extension - Develop bulletproof API integrations with third-party APIs - Evolve infrastructure to improve overall availability - Own your code and make decisions on technologies and tools for large-scale applications on AWS - Contribute to the open-source community through code contributions and blog posts Qualification Required: - Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience - Prior experience in developing consumer-facing web/app products - Hands-on experience in Python; experience in other languages with web/app product development expertise will also be considered - Experience in at least one of the following frameworks: Django, Flask, Falcon, web2py, Twisted, Tornado - Working knowledge of MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis - Good understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Operating Systems - Experience with core AWS services such as EC2, ELB, AutoScaling, CloudFront, and S3 - Proficiency in Frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, and Javascript - Strong focus on efficiency and impact on the business - Willingness to learn new tools and technologies with guidance and available resources Role Overview: As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing scalable and loosely coupled services to extend the platform.
