Product Manager, Technical Accounting Technology

As a Product Manager, Technical in the Accounting Technology team, your role involves leading the vision, strategy, and delivery of technology solutions that support the Accounting and Finance functions. You will work at the intersection of business, technical, and financial domains to ensure that the accounting platforms are scalable, accurate, and innovative while meeting compliance, reporting, and operational needs. Your key responsibilities include: - Acting as the primary point of contact for intake processes into the DevOps Accounting Technology teams. - Partnering with business stakeholders to assess customer experiences, identify opportunities, and ideate on reporting and analytics solutions. - Defining and evangelizing a strong customer-first focus to align decision-making with IT investment choices and prioritization. - Partnering with development teams and stakeholders to create, publish, and communicate release schedules. - Communicating clearly and effectively in written and verbal form to influence across technical and business groups. - Facilitating discussions and helping resolve conflicting issues between individuals and teams. In terms of technology and solution delivery, you will: - Collaborate with business partners to identify initiative scope, benefits, and ROI. - Manage the end-to-end solution space, including technical, functional, process, and accounting policy considerations. - Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant technology trends and industry best practices. - Develop and communicate a clear perspective on complex technical topics to align both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Contribute to functional and technical design to ensure technical debt and long-term investments are factored into the roadmap. Additionally, as the Product Manager, Technical, you will be responsible for: - Owning technology product(s) end-to-end, including roadmap development and execution. - Leading and managing the product backlog, partnering with business and technology teams to ensure alignment. - Evaluating new trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and roadmap enhancement. In terms of qualifications, you should possess: - Strong business acumen with an understanding of Accounting concepts. - Hands-on experience in financial systems and the ability to operate in technical and analyst roles. - Technical knowledge of Azure, ADF, Snowflake, and Cloud technologies. - Background in SQL and/or Python. - Experience with data visualization tools, with Power BI preferred. - Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. - Working knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and SDLC methodologies. Your experience and education requirements should include: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - 5+ years hands-on technical experience and 7-10 years of experience in product management or systems analyst roles within agile software product development environments. Must-have skills for this role include Technical Product Management, SQL, Data Analysis, Financial Systems, and Accounting Concepts. Nice-to-have skills include experience in the telecommunications industry and familiarity with enterprise-scale accounting and reporting systems.
