About the role
As a seasoned Technical Project & Program Manager at Bupa, your role will involve driving the successful delivery and evolution of healthcare software products. You are expected to possess a strong blend of technical depth, program-level ownership, and innovation leadership. Your responsibilities will include: - Program & Project Management: - Own and manage large, cross-functional programs spanning multiple projects, teams, and releases. - Define and maintain program roadmaps, inter-project dependencies, milestones, and success metrics. - Ensure alignment between product strategy, engineering execution, and business objectives. - Govern delivery across multiple Agile teams while balancing scope, quality, cost, and timelines. - Proactively manage risks, technical debt, dependencies, and cross-team escalations. - Establish and continuously improve delivery frameworks, metrics, and governance models. - Technical Leadership & Architecture: - Act as a technical authority and trusted advisor to engineering and product teams. - Guide and review solution architecture, system design, and technology decisions. - Innovation Identification & Leadership: - Continuously identify innovation opportunities across healthcare workflows and patient journeys, AI/ML, automation, and data-driven insights. - Drive adoption of emerging technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and clinical outcomes. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and technical excellence. - AI & Data-Driven Solutions: - Drive integration of AI/ML capabilities such as predictive analytics, NLP, workflow automation, or clinical decision support. - Collaborate with data science teams to ensure scalable and compliant AI deployments. - Ensure best practices around data governance, model validation, explainability, and performance monitoring. - Stakeholder & Communication Management: - Serve as the primary program-level interface for senior leadership and external stakeholders. - Communicate complex technical and program insights in a clear, business-focused manner. - Provide executive-level reporting, dashboards, and decision support. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Experience: - 1012 years of experience in software product development. - 5+ years in Technical Project / Program Management roles. - Proven experience leading large-scale, complex programs in product-based organizations. - Prior experience in healthcare or regulated domains is strongly preferred. - Technical Skills: - Strong understanding of full-stack development (modern frontend and backend frameworks). - Solid experience with system and solution architecture (microservices, APIs, cloud platforms). - Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and production integration. - Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and modern SDLC practices. - Program & Delivery Skills: - Strong expertise in Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models. - Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar. - Excellent planning, estimation, dependency, and risk management skills. - Leadership & Soft Skills: - Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities. - Ability to influence, align, and lead without authority. - Excellent communication and executive presence. - High ownership mindset with a passion for innovation.
