Hse Engineer

Key accountabilities Supervise and ensure safe execution of UG water tank construction activities. Monitor mechanical excavation and trenching activities to prevent collapse and ensure proper shoring. Oversee safe loading and unloading of materials and ensure proper lifting practices. Manage vehicle movement and traffic control within the site. Implement and monitor the Permit to Work (PTW) system for critical activities. Ensure safety during brickwork, masonry and general civil works. Conduct daily site inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with PPE usage and the company's safety procedures. Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness training sessions. Investigate incidents and near-misses and implement corrective actions. Coordinate with the site team and contractors for HSE compliance. Knowledge / Experience / Competencies Required Job-Specific Knowledge: Knowledge of document control and administration activities at the project site. Industry-Specific Experience: Minimum 5 years of Construction safety experience for BE/BSc Graduates/ 10 years of experience for Diploma holders Education Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Bsc or BE / Diploma in any stream, Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety or NEBOSH IGC Location: NEH Mumbai, Local candidate is preferred Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction safety practices. Experience in excavation, trenching and civil construction safety. Good understanding of PTW systems and risk assessment. Effective communication and coordination skills. Ability to enforce safety rules and ensure compliance.
