Dot net Engineer

Ownership/ accountability of delivering quality and functionality within technology systems to meet business needs. This includes making good design and implementation decisions Proactively engage with business and technology stakeholders to ensure delivery goals are met. Undertake work to reduce risks and technical debt, and increase system robustness and quality Mentor junior staff in development activities (there are no direct reports for this role) Proactively identify, manage and escalate risk events. Understand and follow bank technology policies Produce and maintain technology documentation. On occasion, provide second-line support On schedule delivery of quality systems to the business Identify and implement enhancements to our technology services that reduce incidents, reduce cost, improve speed to value and/or improve the experience of our colleagues and customers. Proactively manage risk. Meet all policies and compliance requirements, perform controls, adhere to processes and procedures pertinent to role and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified. Develop relationships with key stakeholders to understand and fulfil requirements Be compliant with bank policies and role model the bank enterprise behavior Targets for incident reduction, service availability and problem management. Stability of the application through high-quality delivery and support Develop a reputation with your people leader and team members for solving problems and delivering excellence Must have At least 4 years experience as a programmer in C#/dot net Exposure to Front Office systems and Capital Markets, especially FX Experience in Database (any), DevOps (Jenkins/Octopus) OOPS oriented programming, Design patterns, dependence injection Unit test cases Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication. Willingness to learn and deliver innovative solutions. Self-starter and independent worker Ability to work within a team Highly regarded: Tertiary qualifications in Computer Programming or Computer Science Knowledge of the Equities/Foreign Exchange business Basic cloud concept and exposure to AWS/Azure Nice to have React/TypeScript/SQL Server environment Technical experience in any of the following: Git/Github, Rally, Confluence, Continuous Integration, Powershell, Dependency Injection, Testing and Mocking frameworks, Control-M, Octopus deploy Good understanding of ITIL Methodology: incident/problem/change management.
