These skills are essential to essay the role of a Server Management Administrator In addition, it's important that you recognize everything in the checklist below: Required skill set: Linux OS administration (SUSE/Linux operations) Server installation, maintenance, monitoring, decommissioning VM/Physical server management DNS configuration (forward & reverse lookup zones) User and permission administration SAMBA, CIFS, AUTOFS, FTP configuration and troubleshooting LVM administration (extend/resize/manage file systems) GRUB configuration and troubleshooting Patch management on Linux (zypper/upgrade/patching) Experience with at least one cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP) Knowledge transfer to L2 teams Strong written & verbal communication ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem) RCA and documentation On-call readiness Team collaboration and customer-centric behaviour DNS Configuration, Configuration of DNS for forward lookup and reverse lookup zones. Configure and Admistration of SAMBA/AUTOFS/CIFS/FTP/Users/Permissions. Install/upgrade/patch SUSE linux servers
