As a Lead Data Specialist with the Micro Insurance company in Bangalore, India, you will have the opportunity to transform data into actionable insights that drive strategic and operational decisions. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams, you will analyze trends, build dashboards, and ensure accurate and scalable data pipelines and reporting structures. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights supporting business and product decisions. - Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Finance teams to generate actionable intelligence on customer behavior, product performance, and risk modeling. - Contribute to developing pricing models with accuracy and commercial relevance. - Deliver clear, concise data stories and visualizations for executive and operational understanding. - Develop analytical toolkits for underwriting, pricing, and claims. - Design, implement, and maintain reliable data pipelines and ETL workflows. - Write clean, efficient Python scripts for data cleaning, transformation, and automation. - Ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility across multiple systems and environments. - Utilize Azure data services for efficient storage, processing, and management of large datasets. - Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools. - Automate data refreshes and streamline reporting processes for cross-functional teams. - Track and communicate key business metrics while providing proactive recommendations. - Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business leads to align analytical outputs with company goals. - Support adoption of modern data tools and agentic AI frameworks for improved insight generation and automation. - Identify opportunities to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization. Qualification Required: - 8-11+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence within SaaS, fintech, or insurance environments. - Proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and optimization. - Hands-on experience with Python for data analytics, automation, and scripting. - Strong skills in Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools. - Experience in Azure or other cloud-based data ecosystems. - Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance. - Ability to translate business questions into technical analysis and effectively communicate findings.
