About the role
Key Responsibilities - Configure, deploy, and manage Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW). - Create, modify, and optimize Security Policies, NAT, App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID, and URL Filtering policies. - Configure and troubleshoot Site-to-Site VPN and GlobalProtect Remote Access VPN. - Administer and manage Panorama for centralized firewall management. - Monitor firewall logs, security events, and threat reports to ensure proactive incident detection. - Perform firewall upgrades, patch management, backups, and disaster recovery activities. - Troubleshoot complex network and security issues while ensuring minimal downtime. - Implement security best practices and harden firewall configurations. - Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and SOC teams during deployments and incident resolution. - Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and change management records. These responsibilities align with common Palo Alto Network Security Engineer roles and certification expectations. Required Skills - Solid hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls. - Experience with Panorama Management. - Knowledge of Security Policies, NAT, App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID, Threat Prevention, WildFire, Antivirus, and URL Filtering. - Experience with IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, and GlobalProtect. - Good understanding of TCP/IP, Routing & Switching, VLANs, OSPF, and BGP. - Experience in firewall migration, implementation, and troubleshooting. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Required Qualification - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Palo Alto Certification is Mandatory (PCNSA or PCNSE preferred). - Relevant cybersecurity certifications will be an added advantage. Preferred Candidate Profile - Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Palo Alto Firewall Administration. - Experience working in enterprise or managed service environments. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. - Ready to join immediately or within 30 days.
