About the role
As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will play a crucial role in enhancing the automated testing frameworks to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Your responsibilities will include: - Evaluating the current Selenium framework architecture and proposing enhancements for improvement - Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber - Implementing new modules or components to extend the framework's functionality based on project requirements - Developing robust Selenium test scripts following best practices and design patterns - Refactoring existing scripts to enhance readability, modularity, and performance - Demonstrating deep understanding of API testing using Rest Assured - Enhancing the existing automation framework to streamline tasks and boost productivity - Collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage - Continuously improving QA processes and activities for efficiency and effectiveness - Mentoring QA team members by providing guidance on best practices and technical expertise - Proficiency in programming languages like Java - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins - Integrating Selenium tests with CI/CD pipelines for nightly regression testing - Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams - Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile teams Qualifications required for this role include: - 5-10 years of experience in software development and testing - Key skills in Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Postman, Rest Assured, CI/CD, Jenkins, and Maven Please note that the job description does not include any additional details about the company.
