About the Role We are seeking a motivated GIS Engineer Intern to support our geospatial team in collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing spatial data. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on real-world mapping and location-intelligence projects. Responsibilities - Collect, clean, and manage spatial datasets from various sources - Create, edit, and maintain maps, layers, and geodatabases - Perform spatial analysis and generate visualizations to support projects - Assist in digitizing, georeferencing, and quality-checking GIS data - Support development of web-based GIS applications and dashboards - Document workflows, datasets, and analysis results - Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and project teams Requirements - Pursuing or recently completed a degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Civil/Geospatial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field - Working knowledge of GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) - Familiarity with spatial data formats (Shapefile, GeoJSON, KML, raster/vector data) - Basic understanding of coordinate systems and map projections - Exposure to scripting/programming (SQL) is a plus - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills - Positive communication and willingness to learn What You'll Gain - Mentorship from experienced GIS professionals - Hands-on experience with real geospatial projects - Exposure to industry-standard tools and workflows - [Stipend / Certificate / Potential full-time offer] .
