About the Role We are seeking an experienced and domain-expert Senior Associate / Associate Manager Business Analyst to join our Insurance division. This is a critical role that bridges business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions in the Life Insurance domain. You will leverage your deep insurance expertise combined with modern AI-assisted analysis tools to drive successful digital transformation initiatives. Experience Required - 7 to 10 years of overall Business Analysis experience - 6+ years of strong hands-on experience in Life Insurance domain, including expertise in: - Agent lifecycle (onboarding, hierarchy, commissions, incentives) - Policy administration (New Business, Endorsements, Renewals, Servicing) - Home Office operations - Underwriting processes (manual & automated, risk rules, decision workflows) Domain Expertise Required You must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Life Insurance business operations, including: - Agent lifecycle management and compensation structures - Policy administration workflows and processes - Home Office operational frameworks - Underwriting processesboth manual and automated systems - Risk assessment rules and decision-making workflows - Regulatory, compliance, and operational impacts specific to Life Insurance Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements Gathering & Documentation - Interact with client business users and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements - Conduct requirement workshops, stakeholder meetings, and walkthrough sessions to ensure complete understanding - Create and maintain detailed documentation including: - Business Requirement Documents (BRD) - Functional Requirement Documents (FRD) - User Stories with explicit Acceptance Criteria AI-Assisted Analysis & Optimization - Leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude for: - Requirement analysis and intelligent structuring - Accelerated BRD and user story creation - Requirement validation and gap analysis Agile Delivery & Backlog Management - Translate business requirements into clear, implementable user stories aligned with Agile best practices - Perform backlog refinement and ensure all stories meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) - Prioritize user stories based on business value, dependencies, and release goals - Actively support Sprint Planning, Refinement, SIT, and UAT phases Stakeholder Engagement & Support - Provide continuous clarification on domain rules, workflows, and business functionality to Development and QA teams - Resolve all functional, business, and domain-related queries from Dev and QA teams promptly - Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful delivery Quality Assurance & Delivery Management - Own and manage requirement traceability from inception through delivery - Ensure the Definition of Done (DoD) is met for each user story, including: - Functional completeness - Acceptance criteria validation - Business rules compliance - Required documentation updates - Obtain formal sign-off from business stakeholders upon meeting DoD - Support UAT execution, defect triage, and business validation Risk & Dependency Management - Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies in business processes and proposed solutions - Communicate risks and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and technical teams Required Skills & Competencies - Life Insurance Domain Knowledge: Deep expertise in Agent, Policy, Home Office, and Underwriting processes - Agile & Scrum Proficiency: Excellent experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models and best practices - Requirements Management: Expertise in requirement gathering, documentation, and user story creation - Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities - AI-Assisted Analysis: Hands-on exposure to AI-assisted Business Analysis practices and tools - Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication with strong stakeholder management abilities - Multitasking: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in parallel - Technical Acumen: Ability to understand technical constraints and work collaboratively with development teams Preferred Qualifications - Experience working on Policy Administration Systems (PAS) - Exposure to digital insurance transformation or modernization programs - Familiarity with regulatory and compliance-driven requirements in insurance What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Business Analyst with proven expertise in Life Insurance operations.
