Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Must work on technology Cloud Modernization/Transformation program involving AWS Databricks.

12+ years in data architecture with at least 2 projects involving AWS Databricks.

Strong experience in large-scale cloud data modernization programs

Strong experience in Data Architecture

Experience in AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Athena)

Strong experience in Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog)

Strong experience in Data modeling (Datawarehouse + Lakehouse)

Experience in Integration architecture & governance frameworks

Roles & Responsibilities

Define target data architecture (Lakehouse/Data Platform) including ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption layers

Design scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance solutions on AWS

Establish data integration patterns and architecture standards

Drive data governance, data federation, security, and compliance frameworks

Lead POCs and architectural validations for critical requirements

Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solution design

Guide engineering teams on best practices and platform optimization

Define cutover strategy: Dual-run / shadowing approach, Zero-downtime migration, Rollback mechanisms

Ensure architecture meets: High throughput and low latency requirements, Horizontal scalability, Fault tolerance and resiliency

Experience in AWS services like Lambda, SQS, Event Bridge, SNS, Step function, EKS, S3 etc.

Identify and mitigate risks related to: Migration complexity, Dependency management, Performance bottlenecks, Data integrity

Define contingency plans for: Rollbacks, Failure scenarios. Ensure production readiness across all waves.

Salary Range-$140,000-$180,000 a year
