About the role
Greetings from TCS! We are looking for Java Cloud, Experience: 4-8 years Location: Pune Must-Have** Java, REST API, SQL Server (Query Optimization), GCP Cloud (Migration & Scheduling), Power BI Good-to-Have Jira, JSON, PowerShell, Cloud Scheduler/Cron, Alteryx, Qlik Sense, Tableau, Confluence, Wiki Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role 1 Design, develop, and optimize Java-based applications to extract data from multiple Jira projects using Jira REST APIs (issues, fields, epics, linked issues, etc.). 2 Migrate the existing local setup (including the local Java-based Jira fetcher and local Power BI desktop reporting) to a fully cloud-hosted architecture on GCP (Google Cloud Platform). 3 Implement robust error handling, logging, and performance optimization across all Java code, REST API integrations, and SQL database transactions. 4 Design and implement timer-based, automated synchronization (auto-sync) using cloud-native schedulers (e.g., GCP Cloud Scheduler, Cron, or trigger-based scripts) to completely replace manual data-fetching and syncing processes. 5 Host existing Power BI dashboards on GCP cloud platform 6 Design, develop, and maintain optimized SQL Server database schemas and write highly efficient SQL queries to support application performance and reporting needs. 7 Technically sound, self-driven, and a strong communicator capable of collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and explain technical architectures.
