Snowflake Platform Architect

Role- Snowflake Platform Architect Year of Experience- 12 to 18 years Location- Pan India Required Skills & Expertise - Snowflake (Unity Catalog, Delta, Workflows), Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), PySpark, SQL, Terraform, CI/CD tools, and security frameworks. Role Summary Seasoned Snowflake Platform Architect with expertise in setting up and operationalising enterprise-grade Snowflake environments from scratch across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Strong experience in platform engineering, governance, security, DevOps, and scalable data architecture. Core Responsibilities 1. Snowflake Environment Setup (Greenfield) Design and deploy Snowflake workspace architecture; multi-environment (Dev/QA/Prod); VNet/VPC setup; cluster policies and autoscaling; Unity Catalog architecture. 2. Cloud & Infrastructure Setup Provision cloud resources; configure AWS, Azure, GCP services; implement infrastructure as code using Terraform. 3. Data Governance & Security Implement Unity Catalog; RBAC/ABAC controls; data lineage, masking, encryption, and secrets management. 4. Data Architecture Foundation Set up Lakehouse architecture; enable Iceberg; establish data ingestion and transformation frameworks. 5. DevOps & Platform Automation Implement CI/CD pipelines; automate deployments; enable repo integration and orchestration frameworks. 6. Performance & Cost Engineering Define cluster strategies; optimise query performance; manage cost controls and scaling. 7. Monitoring & Operations Setup Set up monitoring, alerts, and observability integrations (Datadog, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch).
