Skill: Data Architect

• Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:

• 12–15 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or related roles.

• Strong expertise in data modeling techniques (conceptual, logical, physical).

• Proven experience creating logical data flow diagrams and data lineage documentation.

• Hands-on proficiency with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).

• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, normalization, and denormalization.

• Experience working closely with business, analytics, and engineering teams.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business and analytical needs.

• Develop logical data flow diagrams representing data movement across source systems, integrations, and consumption layers.

• Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and application teams to translate requirements into scalable data architectures.

• Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices.

• Perform hands-on work with SQL and database platforms to validate models, optimize queries, and ensure data accuracy.

• Review and optimize existing data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Support data integration, ETL/ELT, and reporting initiatives with clear architectural guidance.

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems.

• Provide architectural input for cloud, on prem, or hybrid data platforms.

• Mentor junior architects and data modelers as needed.

Salary Range - $100,000-$120,000 a year
