Broadband Gateway Test Engineer (Chennai)

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Broadband Gateway Test Engineer to join our Media & Communications BU. Key Responsibilities: - Understand product specifications, network architecture, and customer requirements. - Design test plans, test cases, and scenarios for broadband features. - Setup test environments including broadband CPEs, access networks, and traffic generators. - Perform functional, performance, interoperability, and regression testing. - Validate data throughput, latency, jitter, and packet loss under different load conditions. - Verify broadband features across firmware versions and hardware revisions. - Develop and maintain test automation scripts. - Analyze issues and debug problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams. - Participate in cloud certification testing and vendor coordination. - Prepare reports and documentation for testing activities. Required Skills & Qualifications: - 8+ years of software testing experience across platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac). - Robust broadband testing experience (OpenWRT / RDKB / Prpl). - Expertise in Wi-Fi & Easy-Mesh standards, TR181 & TR369 protocols. - Experience with debugging tools, issue triage, and test documentation (STDs/ATPs). - Proficiency in automation scripting and programming. - Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills. - Ability to stay calm and composed under pressure during incident responses. Preferred / Optional Skills: - Experience with frontend and backend testing of cloud-based services. - Familiarity with GCP cloud, Kubernetes, MySQL, REST APIs, and AI-based testing. .
