About the role
Key Skills: Strong communication, documentation, and technical problemsolving skills. Good understanding of GD&T, tolerance stacks, and drawing fundamentals Experience with manufacturing technologies: stainlesssteel fabrication, welding, hydroforming, sheetmetal forming, Casting and forging Understanding of end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to End of Life (EOL) Understanding of APQP/PPAP, supplier quality, and cost engineering/value analysis Tools: Proficiency in CAD tools NX and/or CATIA and/or CREO design software, ANSYS Handson experience with PLM tools (Teamcenter / SAP / Windchill). Responsibilities: Support endtoend design and technical delivery for Powertrain components (Piston, Piston Rings, Cylinder Liners, Bearings, Sealing, Gaskets and Heat Shields, Valve Seats and Guides) integration with Engine and Define long-term technical strategy, standards, guidelines, and best practices Develop 3D models, detailing, and design reviews ensure compliance with GD&T, drawing standards, and DFM/DFA. Conduct packaging studies, tolerance stackups, design feasibility checks, and material selection for hightemperature & dynamic environments. Review and guide DFMEA, DVP&R creation, and APQP activities ensure risks and control plans are well defined. Collaborate with cross functional team (CAE/CFD/quality/testing) to evaluate thermal, flow, vibration, and durability results, drive corrective actions and design improvements. Collaborate supplier technical reviews, feasibility assessments, manufacturability evaluations, and cost optimization initiatives. Support prototype builds, vehicle/engine validation, and test incident resolution track deviations and implement design updates. Drive rootcause analysis (RCA/8D) for field and development issues, NVH concerns. Maintain accurate engineering documentation in PLM systems ensure change management compliance (ECR/ECN). Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and participate in knowledgesharing activities
