Role Title- Design Engineer- Climate Control

Tools - CATIA V5/V6, 3DExperiance, Teamcenter, Visualization Mock-up Exp – 5 – 7 yrs Education -Bachelors/Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field

Job Descriptions: · This position is responsible for creation of CAD geometry, CAD Proposals and Drawings / 3D annotations. You will have responsibility for: · Design and development of Cooing System and its Component, AC Lines & Hoses, Cooling Circuit layout · Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time · Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence · Ability to check and manage clearance to interface parts. · Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts. · Ensuring issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to Lead Engineer / Scrum team · Ensuring that the all project deliverables are met on-time · Ensure all packaging feasibility for Component · Identifying all risks to the programme · Extensive experience in using CATIA V5 & TCe · Good all round design skills which must include past experience of working on at least one of Cooling Systems · Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector. · Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements. · Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels,

Skills requirement

· Good understanding of system level as well as component level working. · Knowledge of cooling system and component design requirement for AC lines, HVAC, Condenser, Chiller, Mounts and brackets. · Knowledge of material selection for different components. · Ability to create parametric models using CATIA V5 and V6. · Working with parametric design and methodology. · Working knowledge of PLM systems (Team Centre) · Ability to benchmark and provide innovative approach for a problem. · Ability to interact with cross functional teams like CAE/VI Lead teams, interpret CAE results and suggest corrective actions. · Good understanding on GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis. · Good understanding of manufacturing process – Plastic moulding methods, Casting & sheet metal · Should be a good team member. · Strong communication skills.
