About the role
RESPONSIBILITIES: • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering • 3–5 years of experience • Good understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal forming and welding • Strong proficiency in CAD tools (NX / Catia / Creo) • Develop detailed 3D models and assemblies for exhaust systems including pipes, brackets, heat shields and catalyst housings • Prepare production drawings with GD&T and tolerance specifications • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure assembly fit and function • Participate in DFMEA discussions and support risk identification • Support packaging feasibility studies within vehicle constraints • Manage engineering changes and design updates through PLM workflows • Coordinate with CAE and system engineering teams for design validation • Support prototype builds and incorporates feedback into design updates Participate in technical design reviews and engineering discussions • Ensure compliance with company CAD standards and modeling practices • Develop CAD models for fabricated exhaust components considering manufacturing constraints • Support supplier drawing alignment during design development • Maintain BOM structure and support PLM release activities • Incorporate packaging and validation feedback into CAD updates
