About the role
RESPONSIBILITIES: . B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering . 3-5 years of experience . Good understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis . Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal forming and welding . Strong proficiency in CAD tools (NX / Catia / Creo) . Develop detailed 3D models and assemblies for exhaust systems including pipes, brackets, heat shields and catalyst housings . Prepare production drawings with GD&T and tolerance specifications . Perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure assembly fit and function . Participate in DFMEA discussions and support risk identification . Support packaging feasibility studies within vehicle constraints . Manage engineering changes and design updates through PLM workflows . Coordinate with CAE and system engineering teams for design validation . Support prototype builds and incorporates feedback into design updates Participate in technical design reviews and engineering discussions . Ensure compliance with company CAD standards and modeling practices . Develop CAD models for fabricated exhaust components considering manufacturing constraints . Support supplier drawing alignment during design development . Maintain BOM structure and support PLM release activities . Incorporate packaging and validation feedback into CAD updates
